Help me find shoes for this dress!

Hi! Got this dress for a wedding next weekend. Can't find brown stilettos to go with it - not sandals but closed toes in wide fit. Seems nobody is doing brown stilettos anymore????

Don't like black shoes with a brown belt...

If I can't find brown stilettos, what belt and wide fit stilettos combo would go with this dress for a wedding? The dress is a lovely bottle green colour.

Thank you! 😊

Very pretty dress! You are right, brown /nude shoes would look best. If you're looking to jazz it up maybe a gold

CharlotteSometimes1 · 14/04/2024 22:28

i think the belt they’ve styled it ith looking very casual/daytime so is odd with the dress. I’d go orange or rust.

stayathomer · 14/04/2024 22:34

I’d say nude coloured shoes. Gorgeous dress op!!

I love that dress, OP. Where is it from?

I was about to link these exact ones.
Went to find the link and came back to see someone else had recommended them!

I bought these last week in wide fit - had to go up one size too but they were then pretty comfy (despite some of the reviews)

The brand is City Chic. Got mine from Yours Clothing on sale (can't find it now!) but I think they make them in different colours. Here's a redish one on Evans.https://www.evans.co.uk/city-chic-red-pleated-midi-dress-p

Would you keep the same tan belt with nude shoes (love the ones linked here from Next!) Or would you change the belt too?

Thanks a million!

I think the original belt would be okay with nude shoes.

However, I did buy those next shoes last week (for under bootcut jeans) and I also bought this belt:

Not a perfect match but so versatile. Also, if you were to buy nude suede bag (or already have one), there will be plenty of other outfits you could add the shoes/bag/belt to and it would look lovely

LadyGAgain · 14/04/2024 23:13

I'd go gold. Fab dress! I'd also try and get a gold belt and bag.

noonesayscheese · 14/04/2024 23:27

You could always change the belt, maybe black sparkly, then you can wear black shoes.

Calmontheoutsider · 14/04/2024 23:34

I think navy suede belt and shoes would be lovely with the green.

SurpriseSparDay · 15/04/2024 10:06

I would choose a different belt - that mid brown is very workaday, rather than celebratory.

Just look for something that appeals!

Btw - do you really have to wear stilettos? Lots of other styles might look equally dressy. (And probably be more comfortable.)

Chickenlicken15 · 15/04/2024 18:06

Hi I have a very similar dress which I wore to evening dinner dance with gold sandals and clutch bag

TruthRevolution · 15/04/2024 21:24

I would go for fuschia pink shoes, gold belt and look for a bag that ties all the colours together.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 16/04/2024 14:58

That belt looks very daytime, it would be nice with a blue sundress or jeans but with that dress I would definitely do gold shoes, and a gold or black belt. La redoute has lots of wide fit shoes
