Holiday glow up, fat, frumpy and forty

I’m going on holiday in 9 weeks. I need a glow up but don’t know where to start. I tried looking on youtube but it’s full of 19 years old.

I’m on a diet but even if I diet hard I will just be in the over weight category. I have considered tattoo eye brows because I have to draw them on but that means no exercise for a few weeks.

Please help me out. This is something I have failed to learn during my 40 years.

This is what I'm doing for a similar time frame -

Intermittent fasting with no ultraprocessed food.

Getting eyebrows and hair done

Face massage with castor oil (look on YouTube) daily

Weekly face mask

Spatone and fish oil daily

Daily walking, squats, sit ups, plank.

Thank you. When you say getting eye brows done - what do you mean by that?

I have mine shaped at a salon. I have dark thick eyebrows so I get mine threaded.
If you're fair, you can have them dyed a bit darker, shaped.
I think good eyebrow shape makes a massive difference.

I’m also going on holiday in June, and I’m the same age as you!

I’ve booked highlights for May (I prefer a few weeks of re growth).

I’ll use dove tanning moisturiser

I might get my nails done for it. Not sure yet.

I’m on a diet, although literally sitting here with a scone and jam Blush

I wear my Fitbit every day and aim for between 10-15 k steps.

Am buying some summery dresses

I get my eyebrows waxed and tinted every 3 weeks anyway

I have lvl lashes done before holiday, makes a huge difference and you don’t have to wear mascara.

linen or cotton- next have some lovely long shirts for over a cossie

I haven't booked anything yet, but desperately want to go somewhere warm this summer, so I have this on my mind a lot.

I'm also feeling fat, frumpy and just turned forty too! I am doing everything I can think of short of weight loss drugs or tummy tuck 😂

I have started doing A LOT of yoga. Almost daily classes (I've signed up for unlimited membership at a lovely studio). I'm trying to do as much vinyasa style as I can manage. I know from experience that I'll be shit at it for the first few weeks but it really does help me feel stronger, more toned and have better posture within maybe 6 weeks. I'm also considering doing C25K.

My theory is that even if I don't lose any weight, I'll look and feel better for the exercise! It really affects my body and my mood if I do no exercise - even when a lot thinner than I am now.

Diet-wise...tbc 😬. But I'm cutting way down on 🍷, which is my weakness. Will aim for none tbh as it makes such a difference to my sleep. Also eating more salads.

I'm having my hair highlighted next week, a pedicure and leg wax and I'm having my lashes and brows tinted this week too. Also looking at Botox for the beginning of May. I have had it a couple of times and liked the results. I'm also using tretinoin.
