Fake nails at home

For years I have bitten my nails, and want to stop. I can't go to a nail salon for anxiety ect. Happy to do them at home myself.

Currently have bought loads of nails and am happy with the nails I have bought, durable, no sign of breakage or distress, easy to trim down to size and file and paint no problems.

Onbiously glued them down with nail glue but every now nd then I catch my nails and they ping off.

What am I doing wrong?

Any recommendations of nail glue?

Stick on nails, even with glue aren’t going to be indestructible.

I’ve never managed to get a set done at home that lasts a week. The only solution I found was to carry the glue in my bag for emergency repairs if required.

Once there’s a slight “gap” in the nail and your actual nail, things like showering, washing dishes etc will start to make them more like to ping off.

They need to ping off because if they didn't they would rip off taking your own nail with them.

Rub Vaseline into your nails at bedtime. Just a fine amount and they will soon be long, strong but supple and when they are the desired shape and length use Dior nail glow which makes them look professionally manicured.

Filing your nails every day prevents any snagging.
