Ok I know it has been done to death but help me please.
I currently use the Clarins Water purify cucumber cleanser with a cotton wool ball.
I fancy a change as I am not sure it is really doing anything for me.
I have combination sensitive skin (not a great start) and I need it to be easy to use or I won't bother. Happy with a rinse off I can do in the shower or one that can be done with cotton wool balls.
I like the Simple wipes but they are as expensive as the Clarins when I worked it out and so think I should get more for my money....

Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish. I cry when I run out of it. There is simply no other cleanser that comes close in my eyes.

Eve Lom

Twinkie1 · 30/03/2008 15:58

I have good skin for my age so I am told and have always used Clean and Clear cleansing wipes - easy and cheap - I do use No7 eye make up remover first but never have bad spots and I have less wrinkles round my eyes than Wayne Rooney's young lady and I have 10 years on her!

I have an aunt who works for one of the big cosmetic houses and get lots of lovely things half price but no matter what she gets me I always go back to Clean and Clear!

I like Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, too. I've just got some of the new Clarins one, Pure melt Cleansing Gel and I love it - you only need a tiny bit, rub it in, feels like an oil, and then rinse it off with water and it magically turns into milk. OK, expensive, but I got it with my Boots points, so ...free!

VanillaPumpkin · 30/03/2008 16:33

Eve Lom is too £££ I am afraid...

That Clarins Melt looks interesting. What type of skin do you have Jules?

liz earle ,I wouldn't be without it

weewilliewinkie · 30/03/2008 16:58

if eve Lom is too expensive but you like that type of cleanser (I always get for Xmas as I'd never fork out for it myself!) try either Lush's Ultrabland which is less than a tenner and does a great job of removing all muck and leaves your skin super-soft! Or I also have Tesco's own cleansing balm - same idea as Eve Lom too, comes with a muslin cloth. I think the muslin cloth cleansers rock.

Eve Lo is definitely special. Haven't tried the Liz Earle yet but I have a feeling I'd love it.

Oh, for ultra-cheap yet effective - try plain old cold cream! Works a treat!

VanillaPumpkin · 30/03/2008 17:04

Gosh Liz Earle is popular, and not a silly price either. Do you buy it online or from a shop?

I am using Oil Of Olay one at the moment - the Age Defying one. My skin feels great. Can use with cotton balls - wet or dry - or I sometimes use with a muslin.

VanillaPumpkin · 30/03/2008 17:13

I reacted to Oil of Ulay once, but to be fair I think they have changed a lot since (incl the name for a start..)

Buy it online from here

You will seriously never look at another cleanser in the same way again!

Hi VP - Ive got classic combo skin - oily in the middle and dry at the sides,

VanillaPumpkin · 30/03/2008 21:18

Ooh, thank you. I am going to try Liz Earle and if that fails go back to Clarins and try the melt.

Babywipes. Seriously. I like Pampers but can't get them in Oz , so Johnson's have to do.

Also very good for wiping up smears of paint, even gloss. Makes you think.

VanillaPumpkin · 05/04/2008 11:00

Babywipes give me a rash....I can't use them on the dd's faces either.

My Liz Earle stuff has arrived and it is lovely. I wasn't expecting a cream to clean if that makes sense. The smell is stronger than I was expecting but the Eucalyptus makes my skin feel all tingly (in a good way, with out a rash) and the cream makes it feel so gentle. I am converted and have bought extra muslins from ebay .
