Dresses or trousers in spring?

Which do you favour and why please? Also please share your favourite spring outfits or dresses.

I'm just curious and also trying to coax myself out of my rut/safe outfits (jeans or joggers, wide leg trousers in work, tops and knitwear)!

I feel the cold, so getting into a dress is always an ordeal. But I've booked in a leg wax and pedicure for the end of this month, so might be time to whip out the milk bottle legs and trotters in May!

I have in my wardrobe a few lovely dresses;

One is a pink and red rose print maxi dress from Asos, a bright orange fit and flare dress from Phase Eight, a white broderie dress from In The Style and a darker floral from toast. But goodness knows when I will actually wear them!

Trousers for me. I wear dresses in winter with tights but rarely wear them during the summer. I prefer trousers with the occasional pair of shorts.

I wear trousers almost exclusively in Spring and the cooler part of autumn.

Dresses and tights in winter.

Dresses and bare legs if it’s properly warm (22/23 degrees or more-ish).

It works for me! I can’t stand having cold legs, but there comes a time when black tights have to go back in the drawer. Trousers bridge this gap perfectly.

Thanks both. Deep down, I think I'm team trousers except in really warm weather. I also hate having cold legs!

I might invest in some decent cropped wide legs though to wear with sandals 🤔

I only wear dresses and skirts. I don't own trousers or jeans.

Opaque tights in winter, sheer tights or bare legs when it's warm enough and depending on the dress and where it's being worn.

I don't like bare legs either . I can't fathom how trousers and socks can possibly be warmer than thick opaque tights and a dress.

Even in merino wool tights, I'm way colder in dresses and skirts! How funny!
