What shoes with this dress?

I’ve bought this dress and hoping to wear to a wedding. Can you recommend shoes to go with? I’m hoping to get a clutch bag in a pop of colour to wear as the wedding is in June.

Where's it from I really like it.

Open toed mules or pointed slingbacks I'd say.

Agree. Its a lovely dress if only ai had the figure. Classic and understated.

Thanks for the recommendations. I was thinking neutral colours like tan or gold coloured shoes? It’s called Adriel and from reformation but I bought it second hand from eBay.

Either would be nice.

I think that dress is crying out for some wedges.
Gold or nude.

It's cream. And strapless. Is the bride ok with you wearing a strapless cream dress to her wedding?

Comefromaway · 09/04/2024 21:22

This. It’s a lovely dress but you really shouldn’t wear a cream dress to a wedding.

milkysmum · 09/04/2024 21:42

Its a beautiful dress, but it does look quite bridal. I thought it was your wedding you was planning to wear it to but realize you are a guest. I'm not sure if I'm honest.

Whatevershallidowithmylife · 09/04/2024 21:49

That’s lovely- looks linen and not at all bridal! In fact I’d be really disappointed to see a bride wearing this! I say wedges too on maybe a taupe/beige?

princessbeetroot · 09/04/2024 21:52

Is it cream? It looks pale blue/grey on my screen but I wouldn't pair gold with that. If it's cream it might be a bit 'not the done thing' to a wedding, although it's a lovely dress!

princessbeetroot · 09/04/2024 21:54

Oh shoes! Wedges are awful so I'd go a nice pointed slingback, seems quite 50s in vibe to me.

That gives a much better idea. Great choice then.

Hebeegeebe · 09/04/2024 22:08

It didn’t look one bit bridal in your original pic btw, it’s a gorgeous dress, I like the flats the model is wearing, tan open toe flat would be fab too

Notaflippinclue · 09/04/2024 22:09

Bit of stealing brides thunder I fear

Candleabra · 09/04/2024 22:31

i like the dress, but the neckline looks lower than it should be for comfort - does it stay secure when you’re moving around? It looks like it’d feel like it’s falling down.
