Probably been asked before but - "normal" size 12, where to shop?

If you like clothes from places like Arket, &Other Stories, Autograph, me + em - that sort of thing?

I am tall size 12 (size 14 knickers though)! I'm not lean or chiseled, I'm a bit wobbly and I've a mum tum, but not overweight (BMI is mid range). Still I actually can't go into Cos or Reiss anymore as I end up feeling like a freak based on their clothes! It drives me mad!

I find so many clothes from these shops look great on the model but just don't work for my figure. Do other people find this? Everything seems designed for Kate Middleton type body shapes.

I just want to feel nice! I know I could lose a stone and things would fit better. In the meantime where can I shop?

Different shops/brands have always suited (or not) different body shapes IME. For example, I could never really shop in the likes if Zara, Mango as they don't cut wide enough for my hips. (Note, the issue is not with me, it is simply a matter of incompatibility. Be kinder to yourself).
What specifically isn't working for you in these shops? What do you need more of?

Well I would like to know what shops cater for regular size 12. Not especially wide hips or anything - basically in proportion, just a size 12 with normal curves!

I find Cos good, but as a '12' in some shops, I might go for the '14'/40 in there, I usually try a couple of sizes on.
As has been stated over and often here on S&B, one shop's 12 is not the same as another, and sizing can vary even in the same shop, so don't get hung upon the number.
M&S is always worth a look, some decent stuff about.
What sort of thing are you trying on and not liking and why?
