Please help me feel slightly less...well...grim...

I know it's still early after the birth (11 weeks tomorrow) but I am so, so, so sick of nothing fitting, looking yuck and generally feeling blob like.

I am eating well and exercising daily so I know I will get back into shape (and I'm reluctant to spend scarce pounds on clothes for the in-between stage). What CAN I do though, in the meantime, that will help me feel a little bit less "eurgh" when I look in the mirror??

New haircut. Control pants. new shoes

Agree with Slur, good haircut, new accessories - bag, shoes, pretty sparkly scarf (oasis has some) nice necklace/bangle.
Also get some lovely rich face and hand cream, good for the morale and I found my skin needed a boost from lack of sleep and hands were dry after lots of nappy changing/hand washing - M&S has some good ones at the mo.
You coudl always buy some pretty, loose tops from H&M - they are all aroun £8/10 so no big deal if they dont fit for long and once they are too big you can use them to wear in bed.

Haircut would probably help - not been done since before pg

i remember posting something pretty similar at twelve weeks...

its def a point at which i suddenly felt a little impatient after teh initial 'dramatic' bouncing back.. and subsequently a bit more than grim.

things kind of slow down a bit.so in one rspect you will simply feel better in a little while having adjusted to teh new slower pace fo things.

what did i try?
try not to be so hard on your self.(simple)
get your self some accesories of your choice...dont know what your pref is but im a sucker for sunglasses to hide behind.

also the less i did ie exercise and scrutinising of wobbly bits..the better i felt about myself 'cos i wasnt trying so hard..iykwim?

Painting your toe nails can help make you feel glam.
I remember doing this in the first few weeks when DS2 was tiny and still slept downstairs in the evenings.
