Hi so I'm thinking to have upper eyelid surgery. I am thinking to book it soon
I have alot of sagging on my eyelids and always have done and it's getting worse and is my biggest insecurity my eyes are very hooded due to it. I've had my consultation and now about to book my slot. Really nervous to. Has anyone had this before and can you share your recovery experience? Can you drive home after if not I will need to get a taxi. I also have an 8 month old baby so hoping I won't be too unwell after! I've wanted this done for so long and finally at the point where I can. Any positive experiences please x

There’s been a few threads on this over the past year or so. Maybe do a search because there’s been some good information.

I had it done around 12 years ago.
Minimal discomfort, looked pretty ok after 10/14 days. Yes, to an escorted trip home. Can't drive yourself.
My results were brilliant and still are.
Not sure about looking after a baby though, unless you have a lot of help.

Thanks! I have booked it and paid deposit for next month. My son is good tbh and I do get help with him. He might just be abit scared looking at his mom with 2 black eyes haha. But I think I will be ok ! X

Wear sunglasses
You won't have black eyes, just stitches.

How much does this cost please?

Rocknrollstar · 06/04/2024 20:30

Absolutely painless operation. They wanted me to have some one to take me home as I had a sedative. No bruising. I think I was fine the following day.

Have had it done leas than 2 weeks ago. No pain at all . Bruised but gone in a week . My tips are rest rest rest first few days . I got a v pillow and a travel pillow thing that goes round the neck . Using these two thins mean it was easy to sleep elevated to help the healing . Investment in early days is important and worthwhile.
i am thrilled with the results . Good luck.
