A body wash to start the day right

I have been using l'occitane Almond shower oil all winter to moisturize my skin. I might rebuy it but, now it's easier to stand around naked waiting for moisturizer to sink in I'd also like something else to use.

I like fruity and zingy aromas but also like creamy moisturizing products (like the shower oil). I have smelt the dragon fruit Faith in Nature body wash and really like it but am wondering about other options.

Bit on the pricier side but this stuff is gorgeous. Smells amazing and is still moisturising. Does have dragonfruit in it so you may like it!

Aromatherapy Associates Revive bath and shower oil.

I love the citrussy smell and the oil means it's nice and moisturising.

I use soap. Usually either lavender or oud wood Savon de Marseille, or one of the lovely Nesti Dante soaps. I find I have less need to moisturise since switching to soap (which sounds counter-intuitive, as people say soap is drying on the skin, but I've found the opposite to be true). I do like the l'Occitane almond shower oil though, and some of the Body Shop ones are nice.

I have also noticed that decent quality soap doesn't dry out my skin and moisturise a lot less.

DD uses the aromatherapy stuff and the smell is divine.

sorry, "Aromatherapy Associates" stuff. Very expensive, but glorious.

I’ve just bought Argan +morrocan rose and it’s lovely. Not expensive, about £5.

Caudalie is my fave, the one in the purple tube is divine or the rose one. Purple is fig I think.

I'm currently using goats milk soap from the The Goat Skincare company. The one with Manuka honey is great....really moisturizing and smells lovely. My skin has recently become a bit dry and this soap has made an enormous difference. I also have the one with Lemon Myrtle....perfect for a morning zing.:) I got them from Amazon, five quid per bar but they last ages.

I like Dove SLS free Nourishing body wash

I use bar soap. 99% of the time Savon de Marseilles. It just suits my skin & I feel cleaner & fresher than with body wash.

if I get given a body wash I'll enjoy the different fragrance (usually) & toy with the idea of going back to body wash, but before I've used the bottle, I'm looking forward to the return to soap!

my neighbour usually benefits from half a bottle of whatever I've been given, if I don't like the fragrance she gets it straight away! She likes the variety & the fact it saves her money!

I like Faith in Nature. I alternate between Lavender and Geranium and Orange and Grapefruit, and buy the big 2.5l refill bottles- it works out as cheap as cheap crap that way, but isn’t crap at all.

Le Petit Olivier shower creams are lovely. I just got one in TK Maxx in a verbena scent and it smells very similar to the L’Occitane verbena shower gel (which is also lovely but not a creamy formula).

Do you really genuinely believe that the body wash you use determines how your day starts?

I bought the dragon fruit one from TKmaxx the other day for a very reasonable price, but otherwise I use the Sanex Aloe Probiotic wash as it's very calming on my skin, and keeps any odours at bay (I have a physical job)

When I was a single mum with two young and energetic children my shower was my one moment of "me time" most days. My sister finds the same as a mum of two children with profound disabilities, little moments like a good shower can be a real boost.

Soap and Glory do a really nice creamy shower gel which smells of citrus. It’s in a huge bottle, I love it and am normally very fussy about shower gel.

Buy Sanctuary wet skin miracle moisturiser. You put it on while wet, then dry yourself off and it has sunk in. Smells great. Does a good job.

The l'occitane shea shower oil with rose is lovely.... Brand alley usually has it pretty much half price
Also glossier body hero I get comments when I use this and the body lotion
Rituals shower oil or foam gel I like sakura which is floral but others are muskier or citrus

Just good old original dove for me, nothing smells better in whichever form it comes in. Just lather it on anywhere then use whatever moisturiser after. X
