Trendy shoes for mid 30s

Hi all,
I'm looking for some dressy shoes to wear when I'm trying to be a bit more formal.
Currently I'm living in my sketchers but want something a bit more dressy.

I wear alot of maxi dresses.

Please can you recommend shoes that aren't too "old fashioned" and still quite trendy but also comfortable and flat.

Or is this asking too much?

Following because I need the same! No ideas though, can't do heels all day

I need the answers but have nothing to give 😂. I have boots, docs or trainers and one pair of heels for weddings 😂

Same age and same dilemma 😁 Seems we are all in the same boat.

I’ve been doing some people watching recently to try and work this out but it seems a lot of people wear trainers to almost everything these days and I don’t really want to do that.

I have just bought a pair of DM men's loafers (I am female!) and they look great, are super comfy and are very versatile. I get a lot of compliments when I wear them too! Other than that I wear trainers, crocs, and Birkenstocks in the summer and chelsea boots in the winter. I never wear heels because life's too short to wear painful shoes Grin

Seems like there's no one knows what they're doing 😭
We will all sink in the same boat 😭😂

Depends what you mean by 'trendy' but I'd start by looking what sort of styles are on the cos website, rather than primark, for example
