What do people wear for job interviews these days?

I have an interview two weeks today and have no idea what is expected. Is it still sharp suit, heels and a nice bag? Or a bit more relaxed/casual? The job is an NVQ assessor if that helps...

Suit no, unless you’re maybe going for a corporate job even then smart work dress and smart work jacket works. Suit and heels went out with the ark.

Depending on if you’re going for other interviews then maybe invest in a jacket and work dress or smart jacket and work trousers, saw 2 or 3 in dept store this week one dark green Mango, other black Reiss. Or you can pick up suits on eBay and work dresses.

Last year going for an interview in an architect’s office I had a spill on what I wore so had to get something last minute and got black skirt from M&S and brighter print (background cream/white) blouse/shirt but luckily my black jacket wasn’t stained. I’d wear that again.

Thank you! I've got a navy blue blazer - can I wear a black dress with that? Grey? And the shoes?

I'm sitting here in my current job in hoodie, jeans and muddy trainers 😅
