Yea just that. Mid 50's and fortunately have taken the 'fat don't crack' route into middle age but despite all this the mouth has gone liney... I do like a 'strong lip' (because I'm grey haired, pale and only have about one and a half real eyebrows!) and neutrals make me look pasty AF but I've no longer the mouth for it. Please tell me your secrets to make it stop wandering off down the lines and staying put in general. I don't mind the ageing elsewhere but this is really starting to get to me...

I'm 52 and I have Botox and fillers on those lines. Massively helped.

If that's not something you want to do, Trinny sells a blur primer which helps a lot too. I'd use that before applying and use a good lip liner.

I actually don't wear anything on my lips now though apart from a pale gloss as I prefer my eyes to be the focus and the attention gets drawn away from the lip areas.

I also have grey hair BTW.

Lip liner. I either use the exact shade a my lipstick or a clear one.

Have you looked at lip blush? It’s basically a lip tattoo…. Bit drastic but it won’t bleed into any wrinkles.
i follow Stephanie Jackson Brows on instagram and the ones she does look amazing

Most of her pics have a lot of lip filler which I’m not too keen on but here is a pic with none (or minimal)

Estée Lauder Almost Lipstick Black Honey
It doesn't bleed, is quite dark, and because it's slightly translucent you don't need a perfect line.

Boots no 7 clear lip liner. Put on the outside of the lip. Lipstick can't bleed into it. And paler lippy

Thank you all for your advice... It's a no on the fillers and Botox as my sil had it done and it's noticeable and not in a good way. I don't like it but not enough for a needle based solution. I did see that Trinny blur stuff and wondered if it did actually work. I used to have a Benefit thing a while ago that I suspect was essentially embalming wax.... And re. The strong lip, I don't go mad, I used to be a bright red type when young and I'm not there but neutrals really look weird on my because I've gone from black hair and eyebrows to grey, I've sorted of faded in the wash. I don't really wear a full face of make up, just a bit of cc cream, mascara and the eyebrow reinstatement regime. I had a look at that black honey thing and I reckon that and a see through lip liner might be the ticket. Thank you all 🙂

Do you use a liner? Use concealer around your mouth, blending it onto your natural lip line. Use a sharp, long lasting lip liner to get a really clean line. Then fill in with lipstick and blot.
