Microblading - is it a myth that numbing cream affects the result?

It seems that some practitioners insist on no numbing cream because it can make the strokes look smudged and give a blurry result. Others are routinely using it and their results are not adversely impacted.

My long established practitioner does not use it and works at the top end of the market in a wealthy Home Counties area. My friend’s long established practitioner does use it and works at the top end of the market in a wealthy overseas city. The prices we pay are similar.

So what is going on here? Are other factors at play?

I went to one of the most expensive ones in London and she uses it. I think it's to do with the technique. If it's microblading then maybe that has an impact, but she uses fine tattoo needles instead.

Mine doesn’t use it but I have no idea if it actually makes a difference as my friend does have it and her brows don’t look noticeably different from mine.
