Tips for awful peri skin (body)

I’m off on a sunny holiday next week. I’ve spent the last few weeks getting ready with regular exfoliation, dry brushing, epilating and lots of moisturiser.

I feel I look horrible ☹️ I’ve gained a bit of weight during peri, maybe 1.5 stone and it just seems to have attached as a layer of cellulite over my entire body. My once toned legs now look lumpy and bumpy and my knees are awful. I have a pony so am quite active.

Anyway, after losing some of the weight I still looked bad so though stuff it, I’ll embrace it and go with being smooth and soft instead.

No! I have chicken and strawberry skin despite exfoliation (every 3 days) and daily moisturiser. My legs are so stubbly! Like where is this hair growing from?! I epilate every weekend and still look like a gorilla 😱

Anybody have any magic cures for cellulite (currently daily body rolling and massaging with an oil for cellulite), strawberry skin or chicken skin? I just want to feel nice on holiday!

I’m now 60 , well into the menopause, and on hrt . Been through this lovely milestone in my life. I always looked after myself in my earlier years. Prepped my skin before holidays etc etc …we used to go away quite a bit . The menopause isn’t kind to our bodies . All I can say is once you get in that lovely sun and get a tan it won’t seem so bad. You will realise that there plenty of women in the same boat. I’ve almost cancelled holidays in the past because I’ve felt and thought I looked awful, only to go and realise actually there’s far worse . I have a holiday in 2 months, doing my best to prepare. I’m On a diet , hair booked in , will get pedicure and mani the week I go so I feel better about myself. I know I’m nowhere near what I used to be even 10 years ago at 50 , but I’m learning to live with it now …..you’ll have a great time x
