What do you put on over your retinol?

I use La Roche Posay retinol at night. Just wondering do others who use retinol put a moisturiser on after the retinol? And if so, which one? Thanks.

I put the ordinary squalene followed by vaseline, I have sensitive skin prone to irritation and this really helps protect my skin barrier.

Thanks. Do you know if you are supposed to put something on over it, or just the retinol?

I think most/many people put moisturiser over it yes.

Yes it needs moisturiser. It dries out the skin.

Nivea blue pot or Astral. My skin is very dry. I use retinal though, not retinol.
If my skin is particularly dry I spray the Dr Jart above on top of that for some extra humectant.

Thank you for replies. Will get moisturising.

I was told (supposedly by an expert!!) that it should be: Hyaluronic acid, Niacinimide, Retinol / retinoids then Saliclic acid. That's what I do and I definitely am noticing less fine lines and brighter skin!
