Funeral outfit for April

I have a grandparent funeral at the start of April and I’m unsure what to wear. My go-to would normally be a dress, tights and boots but as we’re moving into spring, would this be too ‘wintry’? I’ve never been to a funeral that’s not in winter!

Im also going to be heavily pregnant (38 weeks) which limits my choices again. Can afford to buy something new although obviously I won’t be pregnant much after that so don’t want to spend loads as it’s unlikely I’ll wear the outfit much again.

Any ideas please?

I think that would be fine too wear.

Look at beyond nine - they make clothes that can be worn in maternity and afterwards. They have lots of black dresses.

if you wanted an alternative to black, perhaps a navy dress which you could wear with sheer tights if the weather is warmer on the day?

You could have a look at Beyond Nine as their dresses would be useful after you’ve had your baby as well.

I’ve just been to a DGP funeral. The women mainly wore what you said. One wore what I assumed was her most somber breast feeding dress.

Given how close to due date, where something smartish you have already and don't worry about dress code

And you can wear boots all through Spring as long as it’s not boiling.
