I would prefer it to jersey to enable my norks to fit.And short sleeved or wide straps preferably .
I thank you.

Come on girls...lets crack this one.

33 is fine I think,I'm 45 so the first dress would be too young for me,could get away with the wrap one though.

YOu're a young spring chicken!

Be careful if you dye a light colour much darker - if it's cotton it will take the dye well, but if it's been sewn up in polyester thread, the thread won't take the dye as well, maybe even not at all. I had a disaster once when I dyed a quilted cream parka black...the stitching stayed cream, the main body turned one shade of black, and the pure cotton inner turned very black. It was unwearable.

brimfull · 31/03/2008 14:41

can you by dyes that will dye all materials at the same time?

I did dye a white linen skirt blue once and some white stitching round the hem stayed white but it looked fine.

This dress has a shirred waist so loads of stitching-could be a disaster.

I got this joe browns dress for my birthday last week. I don't think it would suit you lot as it has thin straps, but I feel I can get away with this with a suitably toning bra with narrowish straps. And it is not too short.

This is the dress I want (for over jeans tho) but it doesn't say how long it is - do you think too young for a 41 yo??

MrsBadger · 01/04/2008 12:14

this one, Tracy?

If you are svelte of shoulder, non-crepey of bosom and pert of nork you should get away with it.
Personally I avoid halternecks unless actually on the beach as they just flash too much flesh for my liking.

TracyK · 01/04/2008 14:31

That's the one MrsBadger. I think I quite suit halternecks - but certainly not pert of norks - would need to invest in a halterneck bra.

But more the style - is it a bit 'girly'?

cod quick hijack - when are we supposed to get our summer stuff out? Because I am desperate but it seems too early? Can't remember if I stop wearing my boots in april or may.

MrsBadger · 01/04/2008 15:10

well it's more than I could carry off, however young I was - I can do simple shapes in flowery prints or flouncey shapes in plai fabrics but not both.

Good resource though - am considering this one (once I've got a tape measure to check lentgh)

OK. And I do not have a good tummy but it seems alright. But I only tried it on quickly once. I suggested it to DH and he bought it for my birthday. He also got me a top from JB.

Smallish I think, but I have size issues atm.

MrsBadger · 01/04/2008 15:57

excellent, thanks

Fullmoonfiend · 01/04/2008 15:58

I am an 8-10 and in joe browns I deffo need an 8.

I am 37 though, can I wear the one you have Bozza, do you think? I love it!

Tillyscoutsmum - I want that white one to wear over jeans!

bozza · 01/04/2008 16:08

Yes definitely, I am 35. And of course, it is the sort that can always be teamed with a little cardigan to cover up a bit/stop the goosebumps forming. May try it on again tonight so that I can have a more educated opinion.

MrsBadger · 01/04/2008 16:11

well have ordered 12s

we shall see

Cappuccino · 01/04/2008 17:08

Fullmoonfiend · 01/04/2008 17:11
