Emergency rosacea cover up

I have a blob of rosacea redness on my nose, which I have had for years and usually ignore. It is faint and not spotty. Further up on the bridge the skin is very pale so it does emphasise the redness. End of my nose also pale..so it's like a pink stripe.

Sadly I am going to a funeral in a few weeks and I know there will be tears. Part of me thinks it therefore doesn't matter about having a red nose! However I will have to meet a lot of new people so I would like to look normal for once.

Hasten to add, usually the rosacea doesn't bother me, I think I am worrying about what to wear etc so trying to make myself feel as if I have done my best.

Obviously I have never bothered with medicine etc. I never wear make up and have pale celtic skin. Is there a magic cover up that I can dab on without needing to cover with foundation? I have very reactive skin so the simpler list of ingredients the better.

Many thanks!

I think a foundation powder would be your best bet. I have rosacea in the form of permanent redness and the tip of my nose is always red and shiny. I moisturise well, put either a CC cream or light foundation then a translucent loose setting powder or you could just use a foundation powder. If you don’t normally wear make up maybe try a beauty counter so they can find you the right shade.

I have had rosacea and use Bare Minerals powder foundation. It’s really effective at covering the redness.

Thanks Muffin another one to look at.

Interested to know more about rosacea cover ups!

I developed a few years ago it post Covid and it’s never gone. It’s mainly on my cheeks and slightly spotty, but nose also goes very red if I drink red wine now 🥺

I use Face Theory to cleanse and moisturize which helps, but desperate to hear more about good concealers/ light foundations. Not powder based as I also have a propensity to dry patches…

The Dr Jart cream is amazing. I have rosacea in my cheeks. It lasts all day and you only need a tiny bit so although expensive it lasts for ages.
It's a little to pale for me so I put any old foundation/ powder on top.
I think it might even be healing/ improving the rosacea a bit?? Or maybe that's the end of winter doing that

I find rosalique very effective, I put a light amount on the redness with my usual foundation over. As well as covering redness it is soothing and contains spf.

Rosalique is amazing, also treats it
