Looking for this jean: high waist, slightly flared, mid blue

I'm picturing a style of jean that I think I've seen around generally online but now I want to actually buy some, I can't find.

I'm thinking of a mid-blue colour, not the darkest but not light. The most important point is for them to have a high waist and button fly, in that style where they nip in at the waist and emphasize it a bit if you wear them with something like a loose blouse tucked in. And finally, not a skinny leg but not those very wide ones, either. A slight flare to be fashionable, maybe? But that's not an essential.

If this brings anything to mind I'd be grateful for any hints. I tried looking "in person" but it was all either skinny jeans or those very wide legs jeans. I do live in a town though, this isn't London or something.

I want to probably avoid the very cheapest fast fashion brands simply because I have lost a lot of weight and need to hold in my stomach that's now like a blancmange 😭 So I'm thinking of something with a better quality fabric. I don't look good in jeans naturally so willing to spend a bit some for something very flattering.

Thanks for any tips 🙏

Look at Mango Sienna.

I bought some from Madewell last summer.

Look at Mango Sienna.

Thanks, I just took a look and they seem to fit the bill. They are cropped, though, so if anyone has any suggestions for non-cropped ones that would be great, too.

I found Levi's good for this (ordered online as don't have store nearby) they mainly seem to have button fly, lots of choice of and the stiffer denim is definitely more flattering on my stomach after pregnancy!

Numph - I have bought a pair this week and they are lovely and exactly as you describe but zip fly.

Frame palazzo slim fit your criteria.

I like these from Sézane but they're also sold out and cropped. They might be difficult to wear, I don't know.

Levi’s Ribcage style have lots of styles and colours to choose from.

waistchallenge · 23/03/2024 15:45

Thanks, I looked at Levi's but somehow it's not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a slightly darker blue and a higher waist and more nipped in at the waist.

M &s do a high waisted magic flare, but they are not button fastening

missfliss · 23/03/2024 17:39

I have these in three colours from M&S - high waisted, not too wide a leg and in different leg lengths

Only thing is zip fly...

tiutinkerbell · 29/03/2024 06:52

Maybe Abercrombie? They do great jeans atm, very flattering and comfy.

Imtoooldforallthis · 29/03/2024 07:03

Those next ones are lovely!

Chatbotsarerubbish · 30/03/2024 12:58

I have the Next ones and can recommend! I'm a size 12 and struggled to do up the zip on the M&S ones Confused

Sézane Tommy jeans
I got these ones. Bottom fly is on show which I assume is the look you are after. Their only oddity seeing that they are jeans, is that there are no back pockets. I also had to get them shortened as I think they design their trousers for someone 5’8 plus.
