Wide leg trousers length

How should they sit length wise?

I’ve bought these lovely wide leg trousers on short from M&S and they fit nicely, they just skim the backs of my shoes/ trainers with a tiny bit of the shoe showing at the back but I feel like when I walk they swing and show too much shoe at the front if you know what I mean.

I’ve also bought the same pair in regular and they sit really nicely at the front, they look so lovely but I think when I walk they drag underneath a little.

Shall I keep the regular and take them up slightly or do the short sound ok?

I am 5ft 3 for reference. I also realise it might be more helpful with a pic but am not uploading one sorry unable to!

Personally - I would keep the regular and take them up so that they "just" sit above the floor at the back

Or do what I do - keep the Tall (I'm 5ft 9)and try to remember to pull up the waistband when walking about outside or just suffer wet trousers

I hate "too short" trousers/jeans

I am 5’3 too and also have this dilemma! Short or petite lengths are too short but regular are too long. I have a pair which are only slightly too short imo and I hardly wear them because I feel conscious of them flapping. Saying that, I’ve noticed young people wearing all kinds of lengths from cropped to floor length and everything in between.

I feel I look better when my wide-legged M&S trousers are a bit long - they definitely graze the floor at the back and cover up more of the front. I try not to wear them when there are puddles! Personally, I think they look silly as ankle grazers.
