or are they inherently naff?

i have some long stemmed lilies atm and it would be great if i could freeze-frame them at this very moment, in bloom, before the leaves start falling and the pollen gets everywhere...

Tutter I bought some orchids from Bloom and they were YUK!
Had to send them all back, they were plastic-y and just rank, sorry about the adjectives, yuk and rank are the only ways I can think of to describe them.
Buy flowers in season, from your local market not florist, that is the least expensive way to have fresh flowers all year round.
