Where to buy decent wide fit shoes?

I'm 24, and I've got pretty wide feet. Some things work but I find trainers are just horrific. I want a decently made, comfy pair of trainers for the summer. Either new balances or something like Nike, but Nike would be too narrow for me 🥲 where on earth do I get decent wide fit shoes??

I have very wide feet and have real problems finding shoes and sandals. My advice is to go into TK Maxx where they always have a good selection and try a few on. I got 2 pairs last time which I took on a city break where I did lots of walking.

Oh I might do this!! I'm not too fussed about the pair being fashionable but I do want them to look decent, and to be comfy for two grand prix's

I buy men's ASICs. They are wide enough to run in comfortably, with sports socks. Limited on colour but can be brightened up a bit with different laces.

Fit flops
Wolky do some wide fit shoes
Birkenstock are good

@concernedchild another good reason to go somewhere like that is buying online can be tricky as I find some trainers are very heavy on the feet unlike say, Sketchers - mine weren't Sketchers.

@annlee3817 I got some very wide white leather ones from JD Williams . Not branded but only about £40

I wear new balance trainers, they don't make many Women's styles in wide fit but the men's standard width is the same as women's wide.
So if you are a size 6 or up you can choose a men's or unisex pair (I really can't see a discernable difference in style across these ranges) and they'll bit the equivalent of wide fit.
I'm a 6.5 and this option works really well for my shovel shaped feet 😄

I have incredibly wide feet. No mainstream trainers fit, not even in their wide sizes. I am a triple E or in old money and F or G. I am knocking 50 now and it's been a lifetime of rubbish looking trainers tbh.

I now wear granny-brand Hotter because nothing else fits. Barefoot shoes are just ugly.

Sorry, no help but shoe manufacturing has a long way to go still in making stylish, on trend footwear for wide feet...snd big ankles too!

Altra are brilliant. The only shoes that have been a perfect fit for me, with wider toe box but not too wide on the heel so they don’t slip on my heels.

NorthernGirlie · 04/12/2024 16:38

I'm an eee fit in shoes as I have lymphedema.

I wear Adidas Spezials
Vans
Docs (but only the soft ones)

I bought New Balance and I can wear them but the laces don't look great as the lace holes aren't in the right places for me.

AgnesX · 04/12/2024 16:40

In the UK, New Balance do wide fit trainers if that's any help.

Oops sorry, there's loads of NB suggestions already

AnnaDelvorkina · 04/12/2024 16:41

Men’s

Try Asics and Nike Air Max

SpikyHatePotato · 04/12/2024 17:10

Skechers do various wide women's trainers, although the tend to be black, black, and black with a splash of colour, rather than any interesting colours. The men's wide fit are also pretty good.
Fitville have a huge range, but are posted from China and take forever.

Rocketdog wide fit

I have very wide square feet, struggle to find brands that actually fit, these do

Jellycoconut · 04/12/2024 17:27

Keen do some good wider fitting styles with wide toe box
