Skincare for blemishes

Morning. I need some help with skincare please. I'm 45 and until the last 12 months have been pretty lucky with my skin. However, I'm developing blemishes and redness on my cheeks which I'm quite self conscious of. Also my skin develops more spots and is dry.
I've been contemplating going to see somebody to get some advice but I'm not sure where to start....a dermatologist maybe?
In the meantime can anybody recommend any products that might help?
Thank you.

CervaVe hydrating wash followed by CervaVe PM moisturiser,no other creams ,strip it right back.

The Aveeno calm and restore range is excellent too.

Give it a month and see the GP of it doesn't improve as it could be rosacea but I cured mine with CeraVe.

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor thank you. I think you're right about stripping it right back. I was wondering before if some of the products ive got are too much. I've used cervave moisturiser before but not the face wash so I'll give it a go. Do you still use it now your skin is better?
Do you use a separate make up remover?

As an aside I did go to the GP about 8 months ago for the blemishes as I was worried about skin cancer and they were checked and I was told it's just blood vessels and ageing but I've had another one develop since so I'll see how I get on in a month.

I use the hydrating wash which is more like a lotion and a tepid wash cloth to remove make up ,wash on dry skin then the wash cloth. Cerave do a micellar water which I use for eye make up sometimes but don't need it often.
