I am a size 18, apple shape with flabby arms. My favourite colours are green, coral, cream. I love chiffon, floaty fabric.
I would appreciate any help or advice on finding a lovely dress for this special occasion.
Early Sept wedding.
Thank you in advance.

There's a great Facebook group called Pre-Loved Wedding and Occasion Dresses where you can basically list your size, colours you like, any features you like and members of the group show you their dresses and you can buy them.

I know second hand isn't for everyone but most are in tip top condition as has only been worn once and significantly less expensive than brand new ones

Whereabouts are you (roughly)? When my ds got married I had a very specific idea of what I wanted and actually had my outfit made. A friend recommended a dressmaker she had used and I was more than happy with my outfit. The total cost, including a bespoke fascinator and bag, was less than the cost of a similar outfit from the high street. The only thing I had to buy extra, were my shoes.
Would something like that be a possibility for you?

The first link is is every dress on Liberty and there's lots of dressy dresses there. Liberty's own range, Farm Rio, Rixo and Kitri might be candidates, although they're not "Mother of the Groom"

Farm Rio
Rixo
Kitri

Hi op.

Catamaran has a great suggestion.

I have used that site for a friend's daughters wedding. Got a great dress, phase 8. Wore it to 2 different weddings.

You can be lucky and the seller is the same shoe size as you too, as lots of sellers are selling the dress, shoes, bag and hat as one lot.

Good luck.

Thank you all. I appreciate your help.

I have been looking at Hobbs dresses, but they are very dear. Plus there is nothing in a colour that really suits me. I am a redhead, hence the green, suiting me.
I live in The Midlands.
Great idea re bespoke.
Great idea re second hand. I have been looking on Vinted.
Again, my thanks and I will now go and have a look at the suggested sites.
xx
