What is happening with my skin?!

Hi everyone,

I’ve always had okay skin after the early teenage years had settled down (I’m now 30), would get a few spots each month in the lead up to my period, but nothing major and the rest of my skin was clear. I’ve also never been able to use moisturiser, every single one I’ve ever tried as brought me out in spots.

Six months ago my skin started to get worse, and it’s just deteriorating each month! I’ve got these red spots literally all over my face (cheeks, chin, jawline, nose etc.)

The more skincare I use the worse it seems to get, I’ve got to the point this morning where I just don’t want to put anything on my face at all! I’m also thinking maybe I should cut out sugar and dairy.

The problem is I don’t really know what products I should be going for. Are the spots proper spots due to bacteria on my face? Or due to dryness? Etc. Does anyone have any idea?

I don’t have a lot of time to put make up on in a morning (Dc are aged 2 and 3), but I’m starting to feel really self conscious going out bared faced. It’s really getting me down.

What is happening with my skin?!

You could see a dermatologist privately - but that will be expensive. Check out 'dr dray' on YouTube. Perhaps you've developed some skin sensitivity.

I agree, a dermatologist would be better help than trying a load of products - it could be hormonal, or an insensitivity to a certain ingredient.
