Stretchy T-shirt tops

I wear tops like this daily and mine are wearing out but I can't find replacements.

This is the closest photo I could find. What I'm looking for could be V, round or boat neck but not high crew neck, any colour, could be looser sleeves.

Peacocks have the style but when I've been in store their material isn't smart enough for my work, thin/bobbly/looks cheap. www.peacocks.co.uk/4505186-white-plain.html
H&M was my go to but don't seem to have them.
M&S normally cut too wide/short for me
Next have 5000 tops but I've not managed to find these.
Please help! I'm at the point where I would pay quite a lot as long as they are decent material, fit and last so I don't have to go through this again for a few years.

Jigsaw usually sells a similar style.

Froniga · 14/03/2024 03:46

Try Primark

laughinglovingliving · 14/03/2024 03:54

Primarily and next I would say or Tu by Sainsbury's if you have one nearby x

HuntingoftheSnark · 14/03/2024 06:28

This is Boden but on the Next website.

I buy these from primark and they are good quality if you get the stretch ones.

henlake7 · 14/03/2024 09:02

Maybe try sportswear ranges too, they often have similar styles in decent fabrics.

HBGKC · 14/03/2024 09:13

Primark do do these kinds of tops, but they're fairly thin. Some colours are 95% cotton, others are only 50%, so do check the labels if that bothers you. They're ok.

The Boden one looks like great quality - at 7 x the price of Primark, so it should be!

LostWithoutDottyP · 14/03/2024 20:15

Thanks everyone. I guess it makes sense to start by braving Primark and work up. I've come across Espirit as well today looking nice, nearer Boden price than Primark. I wish I could find some different colours, blues and greens would be good, but finding anything would be a good start. Thanks again.

Benetton have this style although not sure in lower neck lines as mine are higher, just bought two in the sale from my local one recently. Maybe worth a look if budget isn't an issue.

HuntingoftheSnark · 14/03/2024 20:51

This isn't bad and comes in green and pink (M&S)

Thanks all, M&S look one of the best for colours, such a shame I'm long in the body and by experience they won't stay tucked into my trousers and I get a drafty middle or flash midriff at work! Primark for the win on length so far by the looks of it - i don't know how they provide the most material for the least money, prob best not to think about it, followed by Espirit.

Primark ones are good for the money but they dont really hold their shape well after washing.
Ive got lots but will eventually look for something better quality later on.

BalloonsInWater · 15/03/2024 09:57

Some primark ones are better than others; some of mine I've had ten years , worn on regular rotation. I need more but they only have unsuitable colours whenever I've checked lately.

Strongly recommend them if you find the right ones though, and I don't buy anything else there, prefer cos / toast / stories.

Frieda12 · 15/03/2024 19:28

I second Primark - but get the stretch ones not the slouch ones

HBGKC · 15/03/2024 21:06

Primark's come in lots of colours (I'm currently wearing a dark green one), and they're very long in the body (far too long for me! I lop six inches off them to make them easier to hook up to breastfeed - but I'm also only 5').
Definitely worth a try, OP.

Diggetydawg · 16/03/2024 10:15

George at Asda do these in short and long sleeved. They have a v neck and what they call a crew neck but is really a scoop. Good colours and they're £6.50. I like M&S but the colour choice is poor. Primark ones are good but I agree they're too long. I'm 5ft 7 and they still are. I'm going to get some vest tops from george for summer.

LostWithoutDottyP · 24/03/2024 19:52

Thanks all, I am kitted out for now courtesy of Primark and will try to drop by Asda too to check out colours. Far more painless than expected, thanks Mumsnet.
