Is there such a thing?
I'm on holiday and theres people opposite who have seen me outside at 3am in my dressing gown. And 6am and 9am. I have to let the dogs out, no choice. But I'm bloody freezing in my long but cotton gown.
I'm trying to find something that I can throw on when I need to go out with dogs but is warm and long. I need loose sleeves or no sleeves, I wont sleep in it, I sleep with nothing on cos hot flushes.

Need to pack it so a giant oodie will be too thick so will a fleece gown. Oversized pyjamas maybe? No buttons, I wont be able to do buttons at 3am.
Is there maybe a pyjama set with shorts and long trousers and loose arm top and strappy top? So in my summer holiday I'm not sweltering in long sleeves and long trousers.
Or a thin but warm robe? I've even looked at drying robes but they look too bulky to pack.

Need a pocket or two as well, for torches and keys and poo bags.

Any brilliant ideas that I've not thought of?

Ty

Do you need a single-purpose item? Why not pull on your trousers (or whatever you wore during the day) and your coat?

Tried, feel trussed up. Especially in the coat. Plus if I'm getting up at 3am its urgent. Cant be trying to pull on skinnies, zip up coat and find boots, I have a minute maybe 2 to get clothes on and out the door.

Never fear I have discovered 4 piece pyjama sets. So I can get long and short bottoms and long sleeved and short sleeved tops. Just a material to decide.

Get a nightie?

Perfectlystill · 13/03/2024 07:10

I pull on a long coat of if I need to put the bins out and my nighties is too short.

What's wrong with a dressing gown? That's the point of them really.

inappropriateraspberry · 13/03/2024 07:25

Just realised your dress g gown is cotton! Get a thicker one. The only way you'll be warmer is with a thicker gown, oodie etc.

Fleece and pull on joggers are my go to for camping- but you need to have words with your dogs! That's ridiculous, you need sleep

I had a pair of wide leg yoga pants and a zip front hoodie in a cotton jersey which I used when camping for getting up in the night. They were a matching set. Not too bulky to pack, quick to put on and you look ‘dressed’.

Yes agreed, I think they ate something rancid and that had to come out at 3am. Hence me in thin gown freezing. I'm hoping it's over now. But I was up at 2am and 4am so possibly not.

Will look for something like this. Thanks.

Leggings and a t shirt.

Yeah not sure nighties are particularly warm. But also would need long one and I can't bear the feeling around my legs. Feel tethered, stuck, irritated by the flapping.
