Un-frump my hair

I know it’s a controversial word here but I think it fits me right now

i have longish armpit length hair with no real style. It is very, very thick and too short it can sort of stick out. It’s also straight not even the hint of a wave. When I search a get lovely looking styles but they are all waved and I’m really rubbish at ‘doing hair’

a fringe? Balayage? I quite like the wolf cut look but I’m not skilled enough to style it.

Book in with a hairdresser and get professional advice - they can thin over thick bits and cut in shape and advise on products etc.

And if you aren't good or patient at daily styling, make sure you tell the hairdresser, so they can recommend low maintenance options

Thank you good suggestions. I just worry they will expect me to know what I want

Take done pictures of things you like, and ask them if they are suitable for your hair. I do think you have to give them some idea of what you like but they should be able to give you suggestions based on a general idea of your preferences. Pinterest is good for ideas.
