Went to the hairdressers today. The service was balayage and a root touch up. The appointment followed a consultation and strand test a few weeks back. I explained that I wanted a few lighter pieces scattered through, rather than an all-over, super light look. Dark brown with caramel highlights, that kinda thing.
The first pic is before.
The second pic is after.
Am I going mad, or is there no discernable difference?
This cost me £150. Yes, I paid. I felt too embarrassed to say that I couldn't notice a difference, although the stylist made a point of twice reassuring me that, 'you can see it.'
I thought I might 'see it' once I took a proper look in natural lighting. I can't. It looks no different, aside from about 12 individual strands of hair that are a yellowy/orange colour - and even then, these are only apparent if you're standing directly under the light.
I've never complained about a salon before, but feel I have to now, surely!
Would you complain? And if you have complained previously, how have you dome so? Phone, email or in person??
