6th of April is my 30th birthday. I have asked a few friends if they would like to go out for a few drinks on the Friday before.
So now i need something to wear!

I have a nice pair of black trousers and high heel boots (not used to heels though)that i can wear. But i really want a new top or whole outfit.

Approx 14-16 top size. Wobbly tum, saggy boobs (no descent bra and not much hope of getting one in time! Tried m&s, they were crap)

I can't buy online, no bank card. So needs to be high street store/Tesco/Matalan!

Please help!

this would look nice with black trousers. A bit of sparkle, but still casual.

Maidamess · 25/03/2008 20:42

this looks much nicer on and would hide wobbly tum with some black spangly earrings you're hot to trot.

Hi

I am in similar boat.I am out on Sat after a long staying in spell.I dont have going out clothes any more as I dont go out and I have a lovely jelly belly as I had a baby 4 months ago.

I am playing it safe with

Next skinny jeans
Next high heel boots
and a sequinny smimmery no sleeve top

what style are you trousers?
matalan and primark have some cheap bras, cant you hoist yours up ?

tortoise · 25/03/2008 20:51

Maidamess Thanks. Not 100% sure if i like them.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT Trousers are basically just black trousers. I will look/try bras but not really sure of size. That is why i went in m&s. but i came out empty handed after trying about 20 bras on!

Am thinking a bit of colour would be nice, maybe. I don't normally 'do' colour!

Go and get mearsured in a 'posh' shop then go and buy a cheap bra you will get an idea of size this way

Yes colour is good.Whats your hair/skin colour?

Satin shirts are in at moment, jewel colours very eighties!!

tortoise · 25/03/2008 21:12

No idea what shops do measuring in my local town other than M&S.
Pic of me in profile for a short time to help with hair/skin colour!

Your kids are beautiful and look so happy!!

You look kinda funky in a v pretty way.I would go for something in a jewel colour.Red,purple or emerald. The satin tailored shirts are in and they look good with a bust and with black trousers.Think I spied some in next and matalan

then dont take any notice of my fashion advice as its been that long since I went out that I am prob a bit out of touch

tortoise · 25/03/2008 21:31

Aww thanks.

I will just have to keep browsing the net for now! I never buy myself new clothes so very out of touch with what is around.

is it a pub or a bar or a restaurant?

where you are going depends on what you wear imo

tortoise · 25/03/2008 22:05

I believe we are going here. I have never been in but was the prefered choice by friends.

OP posts:
lou33 · 25/03/2008 22:23

black trousers and a fitted shirt in a fairly strong colour sounds good to me

with heels

tortoise · 25/03/2008 22:25

I think i will hsve to wear the trousers when i go shopping! lol! And ask for help!

OP posts:
lou33 · 25/03/2008 22:29

tortoise · 25/03/2008 22:33

A bit flared kind of lol! Wide legged i guess they would be called.
See, i don't have a clue!

OP posts:
lou33 · 25/03/2008 22:35

are they straight and wide, same width all the way down?
or are they tighter then flare out towards the bottom?

tortoise · 25/03/2008 22:38

Errr >

They are straight and wide, same width all the way down.

OP posts:
lou33 · 25/03/2008 22:46

i think a fitted shirt would look lovely then, as long as it isnt too short

and def with heels

tortoise · 25/03/2008 22:49

ok. Thanks. Only have boots with chunky heels. I bought them about 15yrs ago! My feet will be killing by the time i get home!
Any links to nice shirts? thanks for help. Will check back tomorrow. Must get to bed.
(Hope you are feeling better now btw.)
