I’m 55 size 10 and but have the problem I think experienced by many my age that although I’m not overweight everything has travelled south including my bum ! It seems to be joining my legs ! No definition Which doesn’t make for a great shape with slim fitting trousers
Are there any pants out there that will lift your buttocks - I suppose almost a bra for your bum cheeks !
if anyone can advise good exercises to do for my bum too that would be amazing !

You need to do exercises to strengthen your gluteus maximus

@Ilovemyshed any ideas of which would work - just joined a gym yesterday !

I agree - no pair of pants is going to make a saggy bum look good. You need to start doing squats (with weights once you've got the hang of them) and curtseys on a regular basis - that will return your bum to where it should be.

If you've just joined a gym, have a chat with a PT and tell them which areas you want to improve and they'll devise a workout plan for you.

@LipstickLil thanks it’s a no frills gym im afraid but has good equipment no budget for a PT
getting a group show round tomorrow so will try and gauge what kit is there for glutes ! And will try squats with weights

It’s all frustrating as I’m not overweight - underweight if anything and work in a non office job so usually moving around - I run up the escalator at the tube seems as we get older we have to work harder ! I eat really healthily. Seems I’m untoned - depressing

Squats op if you’ve developed flat bum syndrome.

Agree glute exercises are the answer.
Squats
Walking lunges
Hip thrust machine

I think you're right that we have to work harder as we get older. Like you, I walk a lot and always walk up escalators and stairs rather than lift. But I joined a gym recently and was shocked at how out of shape I am.

The good news is that working on your glutes will not only make your bum more toned but it will help with strength and stability in general. Strong glutes make me feel much stronger running and balancing. Good for warding off back problems too.

You can find lots of info online too - YouTube is brilliant for showing you which exercises to do and the correct form. If you just have a search on there with terms like 'bubble butt', 'peachy bum', 'butt-lifting workout' you'll find loads, because a shapely bum is a big thing these days Grin
