My hair is now blue. Help.

I have icy blond highlights. I usually use the olaplex purple shampoo to keep out the yellow tones, but I mentioned to my hairdresser that it’s a bit too grey so she suggested a blue conditioner instead. I used it in the bath and got distracted watching something on my iPad and left it on too long. I’ve just noticed that I now have a pretty large chunk of blue hair!

Will it come out next time I wash it? Do I have to wait for it to fade? Am I now simply stuck with blue hair??

😭😭😭

Channel your inner ultra-right-on-type student and embrace it?Grin

I'd try washing it with a clarifying shampoo and water as cold as you can stand in the first instance; if that didn't work, I'd consult a hairdresser

Thank you @SevenSeasOfRhye i will try that first thing tomorrow. It is actually kind of growing on me, but I paid a fortune for blond hair not flipping blue 😂

I have dyed my hair blue on purpose a few times and when I wanted to fade it to change to a different colour I'd use johnson baby shampoo or the bog standard 2in1 head and shoulders. Both are notorious for stripping out hair dye.

My ice blonde can grab a tinge of purple when toning, I actually love it, always washes out on first shampoo though so you should be good.
