Bullet proof tubing mascara on a budget

thedendrochronologist · 02/03/2024 20:47

Not tried it but is Maybelline sky high really smudge proof

Need a lengthening and non clumping and preferable waterproof, rubproof, smudge proof mascara foe day to day wear please.

Looking for definition and length rather than volume

Currently using MAC extended play perm me up and not as impressed as the original extended play

Budget under £20

Why would you rub your eyes when you have mascara on?

I like the No 7 tubing mascara and it never smudges but I don’t rub my eyes with it on

thedendrochronologist · 02/03/2024 21:30

It's subconscious unintentional

I use the maybelline for this reason, along with the kat von d tattoo eye liner and very very rarely have any smudges, and I rub my eyes all the time.

Lots of Eyeko mascara in T K Maxx for around £5 at the moment. They're all tubing and all excellent. I wear the Lash Alert one.

I second the no. 7 but if you have a white shower tray it looks like an invasion of midges every morning

CarrotOfPeace · 02/03/2024 22:04

For tubing I like the hourglass one

SomethingAboutNothing · 02/03/2024 22:06

I also like the No 7 one, but the original not the ultra one.

You wash your mascara off in the morning? Eh?

ELF one with blue lid

thedendrochronologist · 02/03/2024 22:31

Thanks I will check these out!

Just seen the earlier thread about ELF!

@tillyteacups micellar and a toner at night doesn’t shift it and I can’t be arsed with separate eye make up remover, so it washes off in the shower

It’s tubing mascara - you can wash it off with warm water and a flannel?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 02/03/2024 23:45

Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes (or something along those lines) is better than any of the expensive ones I have used. I get it on Amazon for about £6.

DillDanding · 02/03/2024 23:47

I love the Glossier one. I buy it over and over.

OneMoreTime23 · 02/03/2024 23:48

I buy XtendLash from Australia. There are regular offers on which brings the price down below £14 a tube. I buy up to the customer limit once a year.

(Too many of the tubing mascaras named here are by Nestle-owned companies. :()

partystress · 03/03/2024 00:36

@tillyteacups and I don’t use water, or a flannel, at night. Is that ok?

PawsisShady · 03/03/2024 00:59

It's not a tubing one but someone on Reddit once said if the earth was destroyed, all that was left would be cockroaches and this mascara
It does not shift

Please could someone post a link/picture so I know which one to order?

DrJump · 04/03/2024 01:49

I like Blinc. It's not lengthening but it's holds tight (even after a long swim) but rubs off with warm water and a rub.
