Please help me find some shoes for going out in cold weather

I have lots of sandal type shoes I can wear in the summer evenings with a dress. I can't wear high heels. But I don't have the equivalent for this time of year to wear with a dress and tights. Sometimes I wear boots but I'd just like a pair of shoes that would go with dresses, either with a low heel or wedge style, just something I can walk and dance in, not "car to bar" shoes. Any ideas?

Presumably your dresses are winter colours and heavier? If so then brogues or loafers?

Hi thanks, yes heavier winter dresses. Brogues could work, I'm very flat footed and need something to hold my foot in, ballet flats are impossible for me to wear. Forgot to mention that!
