Antique silver hand mirror - jewellers?

Hi all, I am trying to buy a special birthday present and am thinking of a silver hand mirror that I can get engraved with initials.

The person I'm buying for is stylish, modern and likes nice things.

I am a total scruff and having pulled the idea out of the clouds am now stumped where is a 'special' place to get such a thing.

Is there a special jeweler, silver maker, vanity maker that would show high quality? Not Tiffany's or Pandora, but then maybe Tiffany's actually? I don't know!

Nothing tacky. Perhaps something a 30s flapper might like.

Budget is £300ish.

For a budget of £300 you should get a lot for your money. You can search for local auctions, or any that will post items to you. (This costs extra of course.) Plus, don’t forget that when buying at auction, auction fees of 20-30% are added on top of the hammer price. Good luck with your search!

Not sure where you are but if close enough for a trip into London the Silver Vaults is fab and will likely have someone that has what you're after... it's really an Aladdin's cave. I used to use it for work when tasked with buying unique gifts for long standing colleagues! Even if you can't go you might be able to contact a few of the sellers and see if they can help

Lots of silver hand mirrors on Etsy, including genuine 1930s Art Deco examples. You can then get it engraved locally (lots of people do this for trophies etc.). What a thoughtful gift, I have an antique silver dressing table set and I use the hand mirror every day to put my make up on. Good luck OP!
