What can I do to improve my lips?

I'm interested in either a lip flip ( Botox) or a little bit of filler to improve my lips. I have uneven lips ( I had stitches on the left side after a fall as a child). They were just done by a nurse in A and E.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am in two minds , is it worth bothering at 55? .

There's nothing long with your lips as they are. You certainly can't see where the stitches were.

I agree with @KnickerlessParsons.
I think we are always more critical of ourselves.

I think you have lovely natural lips!

I'd go for a lip flip personally, especially if you're new to cosmetic treatments, I think it looks much more natural than filler (and you don't get the migration lines!).

You have nice lips, they're a cute shape, and i also can't see the scar.

twiddlingthumbs69 · 26/02/2024 18:16

Wow you're 55? I'm surprised, I thought I was looking at the lips of a teenager.
If I had your lips I wouldn't do anything.

FabFebHalfTerm · 26/02/2024 18:19

I can't see where the stitches were, not even when I looked a second time knowing you'd had them.

stop licking them so they don't get sore! Then stop using Vaseline.

Other than that they look perfectly kissable!! (If I was a bloke, or gay, neither of which I am)

perfectly lively, natural lips, you don't need them filled (or flipped whatever the living hell that us!!)

I was distracted by the photo. You're 55, bloody hell, I assumed you were very young, I'm 55 too - wish my lips/face looked so youthful!

stop fussing & enjoy what you have!!

Thank you for all the replies, you are all being very kind. I could never ask peoples opinion on real life.

Lip flips don't work and honestly, you've got gorgeous lips. It would be sacrilege to mess with them.

Age isn't a reason not to get filler in your lips. If anything older people are more suitable to replace volume lost.
However your lips look great in the pic, would be worth going to a few different practitioner for a consultation, they should be free and you should not feel pressured into having any treatments.

Porfirio · 26/02/2024 21:37

Your lips are beautiful and look even to me! 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you want more definition and an illusion of fuller lips use a small
brush and apply fake tan as a lip liner.

The next day you will have a subtle shading which looks natural but makes quite a big difference.

Bunnyannesummers · 26/02/2024 21:38

your lips are great as they are, but I can see the little unevenness you’ve mentioned. If you did want to do anything, a small amount of filler for balance would get you the best result, but you really don’t need to.
if you go ahead, make sure you go to a dentist who offers aesthetics

GettingStuffed · 27/02/2024 08:49

Your lips are fine as they are. Mine are lopsided but they're part of me. You'd be better off accepting them and spending the money on a treat for yourself.

I personally can’t see anything wrong with your lips or the scarring.

I wouldn’t mess with them as they have a nice, natural shape.
