Best wide band and high waisted leggings.

I love wearing high waisted leggings. I tend to stick to wearing leggings and sweatshirts during the day as I’m on the go a lot but also have endometriosis and IBS so hate anything restrictive around the middle section.

However, I don’t like the shiny sports type leggings and they are always to tight on the waist but I also find the cheaper materials go baggy too quickly and are often too thin. I found a perfect pair from Very but sadly they no longer sell them.

Can anyone recommend a good quality, long lasting, high waisted black legging so I can stock up?

Can I add “with pockets” to this!

Carwashandthemoog · 21/02/2024 10:15

Lifebeganat50 that’s a good idea!

Llama leggings are soft, comfortable and come with pockets. Ive been throwing the same pair on for dog walking since the weekend and they are still holding their shape

I have fabletics ones with pockets, not shiny, really comfy

dustcollective · 21/02/2024 11:43

@suki1964 are these Llama leggings the shiny / sporty type fabric, or soft as in jersey / t-shirt type material?

suki1964 · 21/02/2024 17:16

They are the T shirt type. Seriously soft and pretty warm

Synophant from Amazon

Yogalicious are great very soft and stretchy with pockets - often get them from TK Maxx for 20 pounds

I've got these - not shiny at all but seriously comfortable and as good as the day I bought them

I've been quite pleased with my Mint Velvet leggings.

I bought them after someone recommended them on here. They are £19 and come in different lengths, they've washed well and you can't see my knickers which was the big selling point!

I've got two pairs in regular and long length and buy them online from Next so I can get free click and collect.

I'd recommend Lovall (formerly Love Leggings). Lovely and thick with a good choice of colours and lengths and two different types of waistband.

TheFormidableMrsC · 21/02/2024 20:06

I've just seen the pocket bit. Lovall also do the Recharge jogger. Super slim with a wide waistband. Also pockets. Matt soft stretchy fabric. I've got several pairs for my PE classes.

I asked the same on here a few weeks ago and got recommended these and they are brilliant. Recommended as better than SB

Says 7/8 but they are full length on me

Sorry I can't offer a recommendation as my leggings are all the sporty type but I do empathise! There's so many posts about leggings and even for sporty types I'd say about half of my purchased pairs are hardly worn for some reason, maybe they roll down, maybe they are see through, maybe slightly shiny etc.

Even within brands you don't know from one pair to the next. I have one great Adidas pair that are very high waisted and hold you in, but I don't really know if another pair would be so good.

I guess most leggings are priced so that people tend to hang onto them and not bother returning.

I’ve ordered some black Llarma Leisure ones but am looking on Vinted for the other suggestions, thanks everyone.

I like Tu's 'Luxury' leggings. They don't have pockets but otherwise fit what you are looking for. Reasonably priced too.

Currently out of stock online but I imagine they'll be back in again in the next few days (regularly in and out of stock).
