Why won't my curls stay longer than 15 minutes?!

After years of trying I can finally curl my hair with straighteners and I love it, but it lasts 15-20 minutes befire it's straight again 😫
I've tried mousse but find my hair is really lank with it the next day, hairspray won't hold the curl. What can I do? So frustrating!

Op I think some folk's hair just won't hold a curl. Or a hair clip. Or anything.

My cousin has poker straight, silky hair which won't curl, she hates it. I have thick hair that can last 2 days with the briefest of passes with the tongs, and I hate it.

Just gotta learn to live what you have!

Hair needs to be 'not' clean (2nd or 3rd day) and bone dry to hold a curl
