wedding outfit for 'larger' pg lady

hi all, will be going to cousin's wedding in May when I'll be 30wks pg with dc3 - I fluctuate between 16-18 on bottom and 18-20 on top without being pg so you can imagine I am rather like a weeble wobble at the moment

now although not a 'posh' wedding, i.e. no dress code, it is going to be posh in the sense her dress is couture/wedding bands from tiffanys and venue exclusive hire or entire castle - people have been sorting their outfits for weeks

I have a very limited budget and will already have to hire kilt for dh at cost of £85 - girls are sorted as they are flower girls and I only have to supply them with shoes

I can't be seen to be scrimping as the accomodation/food etc all paid for by bride's father and its a free bar and by chance we happen to live closest to venue so only a 45 minute drive - therefore its not costing us a huge amount to go in the grand scheme of things

anyway, am harping on. I need something nice but obviously not bank breaking as will only be worn for a short time after (could possibly go back on ebay after though)

am not a dress kids gal and was thinking of smart/wide legged trousers with top - hopefully trousers will allow wearing of flip flops underneath - nice ones?

is that appropriate of am I going to have to bite the dress bullet here?

dh, bless him, says I can get what I want on credit card and will use birthday money to pay for it so of course have been eyeing up Isabella Oliver but top and trouser combo comes in at £150

any ideas/recommendations gratefully received and sorry for long blethering post

right so I ordered a tonne of stuff from isabella oliver and crave, stuck it all on the credit card so I could have a choice with intention of keeping the nicest and sending rest back.

I hate it all

the quality of the Isabella Oliver stuff isn't worth the price, £80 for a pair of fecking trousers you could spit peas through?!?!

the crave top that looked lovely in the pic just looks like a jersey top you could pick up in primark or new look and therefore doesn't justify the £48 price tag

its all going back, am holding out for picchu and mamas and papas delivery now

my credit card doesn't know what hit it - it never normally gets used but this is an emergency

dizzydixies · 29/03/2008 18:37

dizzydixies · 29/03/2008 19:09

look at this one

I LOVE this but can only find it in a 16-18 and think stuffing myself into it would ruin it

oh that IS lovely, but agree it's a clingy style so don't imagine there's much room for extras

dizzydixies · 29/03/2008 19:31
