It's a big birthday for me this year (40), my present from my husband was tickets to the Gold Cup with some friends.

I'm trying to sort my outfit.

What do you all think, this one?

First

I like the first one - and think the boots might help keep you a wee bit warmer 😀

Have a great day!

Thank you,

I was also considering a belt around the waist of the dress. Boots really don't work with the dress!

Whatever is the warmer. We are horse people and go racing a lot. It's cold, windy and loads of walking so dress for comfort primarily

Littlepic · 19/02/2024 13:37

I think the first will be warmer!

I've been to the races before but never Cheltenham.

Not shoes. Even in the higher end hospitality shoes are unusual IME.

I like both of the first ones. If you’re going to be mostly outside go for warmth!

I agree, dress for warmth and comfort. It's a long day on your feet and the wind blows across the course to the Grandstand.

Definitely the first outfit OP. Looks perfect 😊

Littlepic · 19/02/2024 16:31

Thank you, looks like a unanimous vote for the first outfit. Smile

First one is lovely! Have a great time

Just joining in to say deffo the first. I've been several times and experienced all kinds of weather, but mainly windy. We did catch the sun on our faces one year, so there's always hope! The first outfit seems a bit more flexible in that you can lose the jacket if it did get warm.
Have fun!

Definitely the first one but add warm gloves and scarf.

Littlepic · 19/02/2024 20:38

Thanks everyone, I'll go with the first outfit. Camel coat will be going back to the shop!
