What to wear with grey skirt?

I bought a soft wool grey skirt, sort of skater style, because I loved the fabric. I have no idea what to wear it with though. It’s in danger of looking like a school skirt if I’m not careful!
I’m tallish, size 8-10, pale and blonde. What would go well with it?

Black fitted polo neck

A thick cotton white tshirt for a casual look with a black jacket or blazer or a chunky oversized cream jumper, or a black one.

Sometimes i like to match grey with pink or yellow.
