Hair dye... asking for a friend

My friend is allergic to hair dye so has been using henna for quite some time.

Only now she has started reacting to that, making her head itch and coming out with bumps. So she can't use that anymore.

Are there any other alternatives that anyone knows of? Herbal or vegetable or something?

I was told by a hairdresser that semi permanent hair dye is better than permanent if you're allergic, maybe your friend could try a patch test with one of those?

I'm allergic too by the way.
