Do you rate the quality of Maje bags?

I quite fancy the look of some bags on the Maje website but was hoping to get any MN reviews if poss.

I’m trying to be measured in my purchases rather than adding to basket and pressing ‘buy now’ all in a 30 second window.

No, last time I checked they're made in China absolutely not worth the asking price and don't age well.

Are there any brands around that price point that you'd rate? I know there's been grumbling recently about Polene pushing their prices up and their quality down.

I've personally never liked Polene (quality of goods) and from what I've heard, quality has nose dived recently. What sort of thing were you looking at Maje, it's easier to recommend when you've got an approximate style to work from (more classic or more contemporary for example).

The main one I liked was the bag with the clover clasp.

Longchamp? The quality of their leather bags is phenomenal.

That looks a lot like the Isabel Marant Elda bag, you might find that secondhand.

This is also somewhat similar, beautiful craftsmanship and materials but not sure about the taxes situation if you're in the UK. Soeur might also be worth looking at, not as high quality as AA but they have some very nice bags.

I've ordered a Bellissima Maxi leather shoulder bag from Soeur. Love the look (and dimensions) so hopefully it will fit the bill!

I've got 7 Polene bags and they're of good quality. Most of them I ordered online and no problems at all. I have however been eyeing on Maje Miss M bag but it seems there's a lot of reselling going on on Vestiaire and from pictures you can see the leather peeling off it looks painfully awful for such a price so I am second guessing. Demellier is a good brand and they offer lifetime free repair service which is brilliant.
