Ashy brown hair dye?

Can anybody recommend a good medium brown home hair dye that has no red tones to it and is more ashy toned? I hate the coopery colour it can go after a few washes!

Thanks :)

My hair is mousey brown and I usually use L'Oréal Excellence 9.1 to blend the grey and make my natural hair colour look more harmonious. It is an ashy blonde but recently dyed my hair with their natural blonde 9.0 and I now have almost ginger hair which I am hoping purple toner will help. I would, on my experience, look at dyes which state things like ash or purple tones as that's what I have now discovered I should be looking for.

Me too & I try to avoid dyes that bring out my red tones. So far the best product I've found for this is Clairol Nice'n Easy in Light Ash Brown (they also do Medium Ash Brown).

I use shade 7 which is called lightest brown or darkest blonde depending on brand. It makes my greys golden and slightly brightens my natural colour, which is mid brown. I've had no luck with anything called ash brown or neutral brown.
