That's basically it. I am delighted beyond words! It's the simple things in life but I had to share 😁

No one in the house seems to be quite as impressed as me.

I repeat, a sweatshirt with fucking pockets!! 😍

Pictures or it didn't happen, OP 😆

NeverAHarvester · 09/02/2024 13:36

Oooh which one? Conversely I mistakenly bought some leggings from there recently which didn't have any pockets.

RampantIvy · 09/02/2024 13:39

I'm wearing an M & S sweatshirt with pockets.

Rocknrollstar · 09/02/2024 13:42

I bought an oversize black sweatshirt in Costco a few months ago. It has pockets and is incredibly warm. If I’d known how warm, I would have bought one in each colour

BigBoysDontCry · 09/02/2024 13:45

Oh so not as rare as I though then!

Hopefully non identifying photo attached. Brand is mondetta. Only had it in dark grey or beigey. I can't wear beige.

I have that one in coral, it's bloody lovely!

Slanabhaile · 09/02/2024 13:46

Sounds great!
Up there with a dress with pockets, one of my favourite things!

BigBoysDontCry · 09/02/2024 13:48

It was a tenner plus vat.

Bought it as it was a lot more freezing than I anticipated. Put in on when I got back to the car. Just as well really as we had no sooner started our journey home when a van reversed into us at the traffic lights so I was outside taking photos etc.

Does it have a warm fleecy lining? If so, I bought the beige one as I can't wear black, and I love it so much. It's like wearing a hug. I bought it in Costco when on holiday on America last month. If they have the same clothes in the UK costcos I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get a membership as I think the quality is really good for the price.

BigBoysDontCry · 09/02/2024 13:49

I have a gift voucher for M&S, might take a look. I like coral.

Here it is. Website says it's strawberry. I disagree.

Pockets! I love pockets. I bought a dress last summer and discovered when I got home that it had those pockets sort of hidden in the seam. I was irrationally delighted!

Yes, warm fleecy lining. It does tend to have good quality things.

I've been unwell and lost any body fat I had so feel the cold more and don't have much that fits so I've been treating myself to the odd thing. The cosier the better.

Nice and plain too so perfectly fine to wear to the office which is pretty casual.

I totally understand. This is the same, it wasn't until I got home that I noticed the pockets as like your dress, they are hidden in the side seam.

Life's simple pleasures.

Makes up for the fact that I've recently twice bought jeans and failed to notice that they don't have front pockets just fake look alike seams.

They don't seem to have it available online. Just one with a zip that doesn't even look like the same kind of material.

Definitely available in store, I only bought mine 2 weeks ago.

BigBoysDontCry · 09/02/2024 14:10

Yep, I bought mine yesterday in store but our nearest store is 40 miles away so we only go once a month or so. And I can't wear beige anyway, I was kinda hoping they had some more colours online to buy.

I wear a lot of clothes from Scandinavian designers and they do put pockets in dresses and long(ish) shirts! Love it❣️ Brands are Gudrun Sjöden (Sweden) and Noa Noa (Danish). I sew for my grandchildren and sometimes for myself and I álways add pockets 🤩

piscofrisco · 14/02/2024 21:54

I've got the beige one. I loves it.

BigBoysDontCry · 14/02/2024 22:31

Thanks, I'll have a look at those brands and well done with the sewing. I can see on buttons as I learned in the brownies, but that's my limit 😁

Fabby, I wish I didn't look like a corpse in those natural neutrals. My friend didn't believe me until I tried on the jumper she was wearing to show her.

Beige is a revolting colour on me as well. I suit jewel bright colours. My pocket sweatshirt is bright blue, but M and S don't do that colour any more.

I got my colours "done" with friends in my late 20s, and it was a bit of an eye opener. Turns out that yellow is one of my best colours and my mum used to buy me stuff in yellow as a kid as she said it suited me but I hated it. I still don't wear yellow though... 😂

I wonder now that I'm ancient, late 50s, and have embraced my grey, whether it's all changed?

I decorated my house in colours I know I suit (not yellow 😂) so that I look nicer in it. I'm hoping to start redecorating shortly when DH slings his hook so wondering if I need to think again about my colour pallet, not beige for obv reasons... 🤔
