Omfg help me with my skin

So I'm now 42, always had quite oily skin and slightly congested but since I've hit 40s I'm getting patches of cystic acne and my skin is always so clogged up or greasy. I don't wear make up and even wear a bonnet overnight so hair products don't go on my face but it's always congested and greasy with occasional breakout of huge spots anywhere on my face.
I've started using freederm sensitive face wash which has helped a little and just bought the garnier charcoal serum as any moisturizer clogs my skin.. anyone recommend any techniques or products before I see a dermatologist? Even non comodogenic stuff seems to clog me ip.
I guess having no wrinkles is a bonus as a positive Confused

Saira skin products are amazing, all organic and natural. The cleanser and facial oil are gorgeous.

I’m the same and I’ve found switching to La Roche Posay has done wonders, especially using the Hyaluronic acid serum and effaclar face wash (buy it during one of their special offers). I also use a Dermalogica exfoliator every night - it’s expensive but worth every penny.
i no longer get the awful hormonal acne I was getting and the congestion around my nose/mouth/chin has largely gone!

Using something with niacinamide in regularly has stopped my skin being oily. Might also be worth trying tretoin as it is designed to treat acne anyway.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo gel range or Paula's Choice BHA salicylic acid 2% or Nip and Fab salicylic 2% will sort the oil and blocked pores. The latter two are chemical exfoliants so do what those horrific scrubs used to do but better and more gently.

La Roche Posay Toleriane moisturizer and CeraVe facial wash (or the Effaclar wash)

Paula's Choice Pore cleanser and BHA Exfoliant for me. I suffered with acne from 13-36 until I found these products.

Have you tried Skin + Me? It’s prescription skincare and has completely changed my skin. You submit some photos, what your main concerns are and they send you a personalised cream once a month!

Definitely Tretinoin. Your skin sounds very much like mine was until around six months ago. It takes some getting used to - it's common to go through a tough few weeks of flaking and dryness before it starts to work properly - but the results have been amazing for me.
