Like a TangleTeaser but not hollow?

DCs and I like to use a TangleTeaser in the shower while we wash/condition our hair. But because they're hollow they fill up with water which drives me bonkers. I bought a WetBrush which I saw recommended here, but it doesn't cut through tangles anything like as well, and the bristles are now all bent.

Can anyone suggest a brand that's as effective as a TT but won't fill with water?

@FlatWhiteExtraHot oh how do I like that brush!
My son's hair is very thick , coarse and curly and long . And absolutely has an undercoat.

This is my little collection. I am in love with them and they are so gentle with hair my daughters won’t use anything else. Bought them in Spain in Primor for 4 euros. The pink one smells like strawberry. They are flexible and in one piece. Not hollow. Brands are OH! My hair and Little princess

This one is for use in the shower and doesn't absorb water

Edited

I use this one too, think it's marketed as being for shower use. Doesn't fill up with water :)

Found my actual brush on amazon now. I've had it a few years and it's still as good as new so won't disintegrate like your current one OP. Also, look at the reviews.

The Denman one linked upthread is fab - and super cheap

Bin the brush and get this wide-toothed comb for the shower.

I've got a wide toothed comb, it's not as good. Tangleteasers have done so well because they're genuinely good at deranging.

I think the pet teezer looks brilliant!

I think hair varies so much . The tangle teaser is ok but for me really only deals with the surface hairs meaning that you have to section all the hair and work on individual layers .I use it in conjunction with a wide toothed comb.
But it's a slow process.

My hairdresser who specialises in curly hair uses and recommends this: ST PROFESSIONAL Detangling Brush... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09JC5SFWB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I bought one and prefer it over my ye olde faithful TT.

Thanks so much for this link, it arrived last night and even on dry hair my dd didn't even complain once!
It has been deemed the best brush ever and we have tried most of the ones named on this thread!
