So I love a face cream and serum. I have been using Clarins ones for ages, and I was thinking I'd like to try some new brands. I saw this today in Red Magazine and looks like a really good deal. Is it? Or am I missing something? I've never done one of these beauty boxes before.

For reference - The face cream I usually buy from Clarins is about £80, and the facial serum about £100. So this seems like a bargain.

Thanks for the reminder OP. I meant to buy this earlier in the month and forgot. It's not a scam. I bought a previous one and was happy with it.

I’m wondering if the included magazine subscription is an auto-renewal which is impossible to cancel..

blankittyblank · 31/01/2024 19:54

Thanks guys! I didn't realise it came with a subscription too - I'd better check that. But glad it's a good deal - I'll get it then :)

Does anyone know how to access the magazine subscription? My last box came with that too but I've never received any emails explaining how to activate it. I'm not overly bothered because I prefer paper magazines, I don't like to stare at a screen all day and all evening too. Just wondered if anyone knows.

When I see these incredibly good value boxes it makes me think more realistically about how much these products are actually worth. If Red can make money selling them for a fraction of rrp then that says more about over pricing than about good value. Sorry I'm a killjoy.

NewJeans · 01/02/2024 15:36

You're realistic Morris, it's a fair comment. The only time I get these expensive things is when they come in these boxes. I like having something pretty and different to unwrap. They're not my staple products they're an occasional treat to myself. My basic products haven't caused my head to fall off or my face to cave in, so I get what you're saying 😁
