Please help me choose. Desperate for long lasting hair removal. I don't have pcos or anything, but I'm soooooo hairy, as in everywhere, always have been I remember wanting to shave my legs at like 7/8 because I hard long dark hairs and all the other girls in my class did not! Hence I've been shaving probably from the age of 9. My bottom and bikin line which is down to my ankles is the absoloute worst, so primarily for this area.

I keep seeing the cheaper laser devices advertised, are they any good? Or should I bite the bullet and buy the lumea 9000?

Tell me, do they work, does it hurt, how long does it last for.

I have pale skin and dark hair.

Tia

Any pics of before and afters greatly appreciated

I've invested in a Phillips lumea! I've only used it once so far and can see results, I'm pale with dark hair

Also, it does not hurt just like a prick not unbearable at all

I have lumea 9000. Started using since begin of Jan it works really well. There is an app you can download to track your sessions. It's really good and can see great results already. Sorry I don't have any before pics.

I have the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5. I’ve had it for a couple of years and now do the treatment every 2-3 months , even then the leg / underarm hair is sparse. It took a few months to get to this stage . I am fair skinned and dark haired. Boots have good deals on the devices.

Lumea is an absolute game changer. I’m fair with light/med brown hair.

Talisin · 28/01/2024 21:22

Yeah, Lumea. Pricey but worth it - I have virtually no hair (pale skin, medium brown hair) on my legs now, underarms only a slight pale fuzz, bikini line very defined! I decided to go for it before everything started going grey and it would no longer work.

I have the Philips Lumea and the best thing I ever got. Went from shaving every day, stubble by 5pm to barely needing to shave at all.

Thanks ladies so much. I've ordered it so I'm hoping it has results I want .

I tried the lumea but it didn't make any difference. Followed the programme. Pale with darkish hair. Wonder what I did wrong
